Detailed description

The water wading pipe is the core modification part for Off-road vehicles. Essentially, it is a high-position air intake device. By extending the original air intake port to the roof or above the engine compartment, it increases the vehicle’s water wading depth and prevents water from entering the engine and causing stalling or damage. It also filters dust and sand, making it suitable for extreme off-road scenarios such as deserts, mud, and river crossings.

Core Components

High-position air intake pipe: Made of high-strength ABS or fiberglass, high temperature resistant and impact resistant; some metal versions feature insulation layers. The pipe curvature fits the body waistline, with a hidden layout to reduce wind resistance.
Dust & water proof filter element: Multi-layer composite filter structure, filters over 99% of dust and sand, IP67 waterproof rating; maintains air intake flow even after water exposure; reusable and long service life.
Mounting bracket + seals: Vehicle-specific bracket that fits perfectly to the body/Fender; silicone sealing gasket prevents rainwater leakage, clip-on design for easy removal and maintenance.
Air intake valve (some high-end models): Built-in one-way valve that Automatically closes to prevent water backflow during wading, and opens to ensure air intake efficiency during normal driving.

Working Principle

The original air intake port is usually located at the lower part of the engine compartment, making it prone to flooding when wading. After installing the water wading pipe, the air intake port is raised to roof height (close to the vehicle’s maximum wading depth threshold). The engine draws dry air from the roof, while the filter element blocks water vapor and dust, improving wading capability and extending the life of the engine air intake system.
